The Futility of War...
War is born from the illusion of separation —
the belief that we are somehow
not connected to one another.
Charismatic leaders convince us
that we have enemies
which binds groups together.
Yet every conflict, no matter how justified
it may seem, leaves behind a trail of absence
that no victory can fill.
Beneath every battle is a shared humanity
that has simply been forgotten
for a moment in time.
And when that remembrance returns —
as it always does — we are left to rebuild
not only what was destroyed around us
but what was lost within us.
If we outgrew our need to conquer
and instead chose to share
we have enough resources
to make this planet a Heaven on Earth.
Peace begins the instant we remember
we were never truly separate to begin with.
Wishing you a week of realizing and appreciating
all of the precious connections that we have.
With love, smiles & hugs,
Gene
