What Is Enlightenment?
We keep hearing the word Enlightenment
used so often but what is it really
and what is it not?
Enlightenment is not often one sudden blaze of light.
It can be many quiet dawns…
It arrives in different forms — clarity of mind, softening of heart,
truth within emotion
presence within the ordinary.
Sometimes it feels like expansion.
Sometimes it feels like unraveling.
Awakening does not begin in brilliance.
It begins in discomfort.
When something no longer fits.
When the old story feels too small.
When you are willing to listen inward
instead of looking outward.
What have you outgrown lately?
It begins with honesty, humility and the courage to feel.
And it is not what we often imagine.
It is not superiority.
Not constant bliss.
Not escape from pain.
Not spiritual performance.
It is Sincerity.
Presence.
Seeing clearly.
Living truth gently.
Awakening does not make you special.
It makes you real!
