Cultivating Peace
Most spiritual people will tell you
that real peace starts within ourselves
and emanates outward.
This magnificent energetic quality
has the power to transform
those around us —
simply by our presence!
So, how do we increase this ability?
By understanding that
we are continually creating
our own reality with our thoughts.
But by also knowing that
the lens through which
we view the outside world
has a lot to do with
how we feel about ourselves.
So, taking responsibility to resolve
our own inner and outer
emotional conflicts
in a kind and loving manner
becomes a priority.
Understanding ourselves better
inclines us to treat others
the way we would like to be treated.
Lifetimes on this planet are relatively short
so make the most of your time
and appreciate everything that you have.
Find the courage to stand up
against violence in a peaceful manner —
such as peaceful protests or voting.
Use your sense of humor.
Laughter has the power
to diffuse tense situations.
A kind, caring word
while letting others know
that you understand
can achieve more than
all the bullets and bombs in the world.
Always smile at everyone you see.
When you smile, you open the hearts of others
and in doing so, you also open your own.
Love as many people as you can
unconditionally
as your capacity to do this is unlimited
and learning to do so
is the main reason why you are here now.
Wishing you a week of inner peace and tranquility!
With love, smiles & hugs,
Gene
